Welcome Dylan Michael Shaughnessy...

At 7:55 a.m. on Monday 5/10/11, my good friends Colin and Tory welcomed their son, Dylan Michael Shaughnessy! 

Despite arriving 1.5 weeks ahead of schedule, Dylan weighed in at an impressive 9 lbs 2 oz, and was 21 inches long!   I was lucky enough to be present for the delivery which was a special experience and will mean that for the rest of Dylan's life I can say things like (read in a stereotypical old man voice), "You know I was there the day you were born".  I delivered a few babies during my OB/Gyn rotation, but it was a whole different experience when my good friends were involved.
